EPPICH House

The Hugo and Brigitte Eppich house is a remarkable feat of architecture, instantly recognizable by its cascading steel beams reflected in the surrounding pond. This bold design embodies architect Erickson's West Coast modernist principles, emphasizing the relationship between site, material, and form. As Erickson's first steel residence, the home showcases the material’s structural and aesthetic potential through its curved beams, dyed cladding, and custom furnishings by Francisco Kripacz. Commissioned by Hugo Eppich, who granted access to his steel fabricating plants, the house became a unique project where Erickson designed and furnished every detail—an unprecedented endeavor for the architect.
